At Simpson House we offer both face-to-face and telephone consultations. The clinician will decide which appointment type will be most appropriate for you.
Telephone consultations
Many patients find a telephone consultation more convenient than coming into the surgery. Where necessary the clinician can arrange for you to submit a photo to assist with the consultation and can arrange for a prescription to be sent directly to a pharmacy for you.
If you are booked in for a telephone consultation you will be given a 1 hour time slot during which the clinician will call you. Please ensure you are available to take the call during the time slot you have been given. The clinician will try to call at least twice but if you miss their call this will be classed as a missed appointment.
Face to face consultations
The clinician may decide that you would be better seeing them in a face-to-face consultation at the surgery. In this case you will be given a fixed time to attend your appointment.
Please arrive promptly for any face-to-face appointment. Patients arriving later than 10 minutes will be classed as late and will have to rebook.
